Hi everyone! Thanks for being here!
My name is Sarah Hanchar and I have a podcast I am excited to share with you.
It’s called “Hi! I Think You’re Nice!” It’s a podcast where I speak to nice people about nice things.
That’s it.
It can (and will) be about a myriad of topics! Camping, birds, dog treats, golf, noses (and nose hair), buses, costuming, roller derby, and so much more! As the podcast goes on, I hope more guests will be excited to share their passions, pursuits, and pleasantries with me.
Why am I doing this thing?
Because I am lucky to have incredible friends and family in my life. However, I rarely get a chance to sit down and talk to them (at length) about the things that make them happy. Things that they know a lot about and are excited to share! I am 100% positive that you also have amazing people in your life. Wouldn’t it be nice to sit down and just chat with them with no stress or agenda? Just a conversation where we can learn about each other. I think that sounds grand.
Because it’s tough out there, ya’ll. The world is fraught with peril. We are constantly inundated with the nightmares of this world. The horrible things we are doing to our neighbors, our countrymen, our friends, our family, our Earth, our future. We are a divided nation being ripped further and further apart by a hate-fueled tornado of chaos.
I want to provide something nice for EVERYONE. Literally, everyone. I know this is impossible, of course. But I’m gonna try, dang it! Because being kind and nice is for everyone. Finding love and interest in any and every person, is for everyone. Everyone benefits from that. My goal is to open the door, pull up an extra chair, and invite everyone in for just 60 (or so) minutes of kindness, support, and fun. Maybe learn something new! Maybe hear something that makes you say, “huh, I never thought of it that way.” Or maybe just laugh and enjoy the silly things we say.
I want to make this very clear: I am not saying plug your ears and disengage from what is happening in the world. I’m not saying, “sing LA-LA-LA-LA as loud as you can” to drown out the sadness and pain that is happening. I’m not saying to take up residence in fantasy land where we pretend everything is fine. It’s vital to remain educated, aware, and active. I’m just saying that we ALL deserve nice moments in our day and in our life.
Because I want to talk about my dogs as often as possible.
Thank you for being here and I hope you enjoy Hi! I Think You’re Nice!
